Frequently asked questions |

Q : Why can't I add alarms to my Birthday calendar from Apple's Addressbook?
A : The "fake" calendar from apples addressbook is not an iCal file. It is a listing of dates in your addressbook.
And as such it is not editable. Apple only allows editing on your personal calendars, not the ones you
share from others or "locked" calendars from the internet.
So in Alarmist you will see all the calendars that you can modify. Thats why you CAN'T set an alarm in that
fake birthday calendar. But since Alarmist 1.2 you can synchronize the addressbook dates
with a REAL calendar you might call "My birthdays".

Q : What is the "Update events that contains xxx" option for ?
A : Even though the main focus of Alarmist is to set alarms it might also be necessary to clean up calendars
and their respective alarms. Using this option you can ONLY modify or set events that contain a certain phrase
like "jake's fim-day" or "Mum". This will also allow you to select a whole range of events and modify their
alarms in one go f.i. all the events containing "exam".
